About Us
The Boulder City branch was chartered in 1942, one of the first AAUW branches in Nevada.
Our branch is in partnership with several wonderful community organizations that are very generous with their resources:
- The historic Boulder Dam Hotel supports our events by selling tickets and providing the hotel lobby and patio, free of charge. They also graciously donate wine for our Wine & Chocolate Tasting.
- Our Boulder City Chamber of Commerce membership enables us to network with local businesses and allows us to announce AAUW events in the Chamber calendar, newsletter and LED signage.
- Nevada State College – our goal is to foster a continued relationship with the faculty and students by participating in campus events and providing scholarships. We have recently awarded the Women to Women Scholarship to a local resident returning to college at NSC to earn a degree in Speech Language Pathology.
We conduct several fundraisers throughout the year:
- a Wine & Chocolate Tasting, tentatively scheduled for October 2011
- The 40th Annual AAUW Home Tour, Saturday, December 10, 2011, 1-4 PM
- Another Wine & Chocolate Tasting in May 2012

Meetings are typically scheduled for third Tuesday of the month in Boulder City Library Meeting Room, 813 Arizona St., Boulder City, NV 89005 at 7:00 PM. (Confirm with president or membership chair, meeting dates occasionally changed when special program or event planning requires)
